Now you are already aware of my active life. So you can figure out my likes and dislikes and how I enjoy my leisure. If you go by my colleagues they will say, “When you work really…all the time you are sitting lazily and staring at your computer screen.” Hmmmm… lounging. I really enjoy myself when I am at the office or at a lounge bar- just relax yourself.
This article is very dear to me as I have spent lot of energy in writing about Netherlands’s famous and stylish lounge bar, Pukje’s website – http://www.pukjebreda.nl. Pukje is a smoke free lounge bar that serves exquisite drinks, rainbow colored cocktails and mouth watering snacks.
Love at First site
Going by the saying ‘first impression is the last impression’, lets talk about the appearance first. Its purple all the way- the color that represents royalty, regality, nobility.
The look of the site is cool and refreshing. You can stare at the screen for long in the same way as you would watch Catherine Zeta Jones act in a movie- without blinking your eyes and it does not cause much strain on eyes.The graphic work is excellent and it gives a cool and spunky feel of the lounge bar. And it must me music to your ears to know that the site is music enabled which can be turned on and off. *
Since the site is Netherlands based so it’s done in Dutch language. So I had to use Google translate to see the sections in the web page. The pages are quick to load and are easily navigable. It features sections like Home, Over ons (About Us), Pukje Biz (Business), Agenda, Fotos (Photo gallery), Etien-Drinken (Food and Drink) and Vacatures (Job Openings).
Users can subscribe to newsletters. And if you find the site really interesting you can send e-cards to your near and dear ones for inviting them to Pukje.
Content is the King
Now come to the backend of the site. The site is a dynamic one which means the contents of the website can be changed/updated whenever required.The Content Management System allows the site owner to make changes from his end. The CMS present in Pukje allows editing various sections of the website- from Over Ons to Fotos, from Pukje Biz to Vacatures. CMS offers a spectrum of advantages to websites and helps build a healthy relationship with existing and prospective consumers. It also features the News and Updates section that contains regular news and event update at Pukje.
Software tools
This is definitely not my domain- The languages and development tools used. So I had to depend on the advice of experts before I could make out anything. The website has been programmed and developed on ASP.NET 2.0 and AJAX. The major advantage of using AJAX is that it is based on open standards, thus can be supported by variety of browsers. Another advantage of Ajax is a decrease in bandwidth use. Bandwidth in web hosting refers to the amount of data that can be communicated between user and server/website. AJAX also provides better end-user experience.

Overall the site has got the appeal and functionality that will attract the audiences again and again. The images and the graphics are so crisply done that they keep reverberating in your minds. It definitely has got all the elements to be a rage among the youth.
